The Sticking Point

You keep pushing and the goal isn’t getting closer. More hours haven’t done it. There’s something in the way. You might feel it, you might not, but it’s the reason you’re stuck.

We call it your Sticking Point. Somewhere in the chain, something isn’t doing its job. It looks different on everybody. These come up the most.

Asymmetry

One side loads and the other goes along for the ride. You know you're losing power, but you can't figure out why the other side won't engage.

Missing Range

Depth in a squat, rotation in a golf swing. Something stops you short of the position, and it stops you the same way every time.

Chronic Tightness

Hips, hamstrings, ankles, shoulders. Stretching helps for a session. It's tight again by the next one.

Power Leak

You're strong in the gym and it isn't showing up in your sport. Somewhere between the two, the force goes missing.

Name your Sticking Point, and the only thing between you and your breakthrough is the right plan.

The Way Through

Nobody’s grading you against a stranger. The comparison is you.

01

Movement Assessment

Joint by joint, side by side, under load. We look at mobility, control, balance, power, and movement quality, but what we test depends on what you’re trying to do. A golfer, a lifter, and someone trying to get comfortably back on the trail don’t need the same assessment. By the end, your Sticking Point has a name and a number.

02

Plan

A thorough assessment can turn up twenty things to work on, and nobody has two hours a day. Knowing your Sticking Point is what shortens that list. Together we pick the two or three that move it. The rest don’t disappear. We come back for them when you’re chasing the last one percent.

03

Exercise Prescription

Stretches, exercises, timeframes, and most important, why each piece is worth doing. Most of it follows The Movement Model. Some of it gets handled here, hands-on. The rest is yours to run, and we adjust as things change.

Endgame

We run the assessment again to see what moved. If a number didn’t move, then we go back to the plan and figure out what to modify.

But the goal isn’t to pass a test. We don’t want your progress trapped in the clinic. The hike, the golf swing, the PR you’ve been circling. That’s the endgame, and it’s the only scoreboard that counts.

For Competitive Athletes

Some goals come with a deadline. Back from an injury before the season, earning a spot in the lineup, ready by the first game. That takes more than a plan you run on your own, and it takes it every week. In The Game, our elite athlete program, does exactly that for competitive youth and college athletes, built around their sport and their season.

“He took the time to understand the issue, clearly explained what he was doing & why, and gave me exercises to do at home. We also discussed what we viewed as success, and when we thought we were done.”
— Judy Maffitt
“With Marshall’s unique method, you have to be willing to put in the work, trust the process, and follow the recommended exercises consistently. But the good news in the end is that you’ll likely end up stronger than you can remember without needing regular assistance.”
